Is Proof Panda free?
Yes. The app is free and the core features stay free. There's a single optional Pro unlock for a one-time $9.99 (no subscription) that adds the Password Vault, bank-statement import, and the tax ZIP bundle. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.
Where is my data stored?
On your device, and only your device. Proof Panda has no account, no servers, and no cloud — so we can't see, collect, or sell your data. Sensitive documents are encrypted at rest on your phone.
What happens if I lose my phone?
Because nothing lives on a server, your data lives with your device. Proof Panda has a built-in backup so you can export a copy you control and restore it on a new phone. If your device is lost and you have no backup, the data can't be recovered — that's the honest trade-off for true privacy, so we recommend backing up regularly.
Can I back up my vault?
Yes. You can export your data to a backup file that you keep wherever you like, and restore it later by importing that file. It's manual and entirely on your terms — nothing is uploaded automatically.
Can I use Proof Panda offline?
Completely. The whole app works without a connection — even receipt scanning runs on-device. The only time the internet is used is to process the optional Pro purchase through Google Play.
What documents can I store?
Receipts and warranties, plus a Proof Vault for IDs, passports, driver's licences, insurance, pet and medical records, vehicle documents, leases and home paperwork, certificates, and more. Pro adds an encrypted Password Vault for everyday logins.
Will there be an iPhone version?
Proof Panda is on Android first, via Google Play. An iPhone version is something we'd like to build, but it isn't committed yet and we don't have a date to share. If it's something you want, let us know — it helps us prioritise.
